Winter means frizzy, dry, and unmanageable hair. Isn’t that right?  Winter means a whole new set of hair problems that you need to deal with. The dry and dreary weather can wreak havoc on your hair if the right precautions aren’t taken.

And hence with the onset of winters, we should be all prepped up to follow a hair care routine so that we can have more good winter hair days.

Do the conditioning right- Conditioning becomes vital during the winters. Make conditioners and hair oils a regular part of your routine during the winters. End every hair wash with an enriching conditioner. Also, use deep conditioning packs at least once a week for maintaining the health of your hair.

Olive Oil to the rescue- For the winters, you can switch from your regular coconut or almond oil to olive oil. Follow the same hair massage therapy but only with olive oil. Olive oil keeps your scalp moisturized and improves blood circulation, ensuring that your follicles get enough nourishment. It will also prevent hair fall.

Shine up with Honey – Due to the lack of moisture in the cold season, your scalp dries out and makes your hair frizzy, but also leaves your hair looking dull and lifeless. To combat this situation, you can use raw honey from roots to tips, leave it in for about 30 minutes and get a one-way ticket to shiny and bouncy hair even during the winters.

Switch to lukewarm water- With the temperature dripping, you obviously want to take long hot showers but this might not be so good for your hair. Wash your hair only with lukewarm water as the latter will strip away the natural oils that protect and nourish your hair. Apply a leave-in conditioner to keep your hair smooth.

When these tips are made a part of your hair care routine, your hair won’t even notice that winter is here.
